He looked lonely.
He hid it well - he had no eyes, and therefore couldn't show me; he had no mouth, and therefore he couldn't tell me. But in the back of my mind, I could feel what he felt too, in that very moment - loneliness.
“Do you want a friend?” I asked him.
He looked up at me, his face still blank, but he quickly averted his glance. I knew he was hesitant to give me answer.
I offered my hand to him, and he slowly looked up at me again. I felt something new in the back of my mind - he was scared of me.
“Don't be afraid of me,” I said calmly.
He hesitated a moment longer before reaching his own hand out to me, taking my hand into his. He separated himself from the wall, and stepped away from it. He looked down at our feet, then around himself, feeling nervous.
“There is nothing to be afraid of,” I reassured.
I turned, and began walking, hand in hand with my friend only in the dark.

I might turn this drawing into an actual one-shot.
This is one of those drawings I make out of sudden inspiration. I was listening to the song “Shadow” by Wild Nothing when the idea for this drawing came to mind. The lyrics were totally irrelevant once I started laying lead on the paper, since the song's title was the source of inspiration. The drabble above was inspired by the song “Peace of Mind” by Kevin MacLeod, a producer of the best royalty-free music I've ever heard.
This character, by the way, is unnamed, and isn't one of my previous characters, though from the side he does have a certain resemblance to Yosha. I may end up making him a new character with a new storyline. . .stay tuned for that if I do.
